Forbes Center for the Performing Arts Studio Theatre, November 2016 Director: Alexi Siegel Orlando's character travels over 400 years, has many lovers, and transforms from being a man into a woman. Through Orlando's travels, he/she encounters four main lovers to whom the director, Alexi Siegel, assigned each a season. The seasons were assigned a color range. From there we built off those color schemes and made sure they flowed from one to the other. For example, the Queen represented spring with pinks and light purples. This transitioned into winter with harsh blues when the character of Sasha arrived on stage. Other fun elements included the hanging panels which acted as projection surface as well as scrims for characters to be lit in silhouette. |
