Berkshire Theatre Group

General Technician
The Colonial Theatre, July - Augest, 2015
Technical Director: Tom Minucci
Below is my work from my internship with the Berkshire Theatre Group. As a general technician, I switched between the scene shop, working with lights, and building props on a six show season. Every element you see in the pictures below Bells are Ringing I had a hand in completing (see more details below). I was a spot operator for Bells are Ringing and then again on Mary Poppins, so I wasn't as involved with building Mary Poppins. However, I spent a lot of time helping the paint crew with the floor and the rest of the moving units (see more detail below).

Bells Are Ringing

This design consisted of 100 light boxes covered with algo all attached and stack together to create this unique box set. There were door and window openings that were also light boxes as well as lights box that functioned as translucent surfaces that silhouettes could be created with. In the scene shop, I mainly helped in the construction of the 100 light boxes and the two giant walls that flew in. Some of my work in the prop shop (that you can see below) involved painting and constructing set decorations. I also assisted in the electric shop to line the light boxes in led tape and helped paint the floor and the walls that flew in. By opening, there wasn't an element of the show that I hadn't work on in some capacity.

Mary Poppins

Because I was a spot operator for Bells are Ringing, much of my work on Mary Poppins was spent painting and adding trim and other detail elements, as you can see below.

Below you can see other individual projects for the shows not listed above.
