Four frames were built to be switched out every time Charlotte wove a new word (HUMBLE, RADIANT, TERRIFIC, and SOME PIG) into her web. After we constructed the frame, I drilled an even amount of screws around the frame. Then, just like a spider, I strung and tied rope across from screw to screw before adding the spiral by threading the another piece of rope through the rope stretched across the frame. This allowed me to use rope foam to spell out the different words. The frame hooked onto two nails to make it easy to interchange the frames and the set was designed to hid the frame from view.  Paint and glitter added the final touches.
